The Southampton City Vision consultation has now closed. We will share results in the coming weeks and there will be further opportunity to give us your views later in the year.

In our first consultation in 2020 you told us that 'Environment and climate change' was most important to you. We are committed to ensuring our City Vision will demonstrate how we plan to contribute towards reducing and mitigating the effects of climate change and air pollution. We will also outline steps to protect and enhance biodiversity and open space.

To help us produce the best possible plan, we'd like to understand your priorities and what you most value in our cities open spaces. You can have your say by answering a few short questions below and by using our interactive map to show us where your favourite places are.

    Thank you for your comment. Protecting and enhancing green space is an important part of the plan and we are aware that people would like improved access to the waterfront.  With specific locations we need to consider all potential needs, including those of the port and ferry terminals.

    Thank you for your question. We have new and improved policies which set out requirements for new developments. With regard to city centre car parks, I will pass this to a colleague

How can you be so blind - more cars + more congestion, poorer air quality and increased EMISSIONS.     Thank you for your comments. There will be further consultation covering more details later this year. The City Vision will have to demonstrate that new development is proposed in sustainable locations, transport is key to this.
